What We Do

Overview

The Laveen Community Council is dedicated to the community of Laveen and its surrounding areas. We are a 100% volunteer-based organization, with more than 300 volunteers that have helped us be successful. All the proceeds we generate each year, go to support youth programs, fund high school graduates through our scholarship program, and help other community organizations that create a connected community and build a neighborhood we can be proud to call home. We have more than 25 community Member Groups that represent a large portion of Laveen including schools, several community churches, youth sport organizations, scout troops, civic and home community organizations.

Meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month (September through May) at 6:30 p.m. in Building 'A' on Laveen Elementary School Campus at 51st Ave. & Dobbins Rd. on the SE Corner.

Our success is measured in the number of people we can help with the quality of programs and services we provide. These programs are fueled by our dedicated staff, caring volunteers and generous donors like you.

For example, on Thursday, March 30, 2023, the Laveen Community Council, with the support and help of former LCC members, former city of phoenix council, and Laveen Elementary School District Board members, dedicated the Little Free Library to Mrs. Christine Dicken for her many years of community service and tireless efforts of supporting the Laveen Community.
