Laveen Crime Prevention Town Hall Meeting - FLYER

Tuesday, May 11th - 7:00pm at Betty H. Fairfax High School Auditorium

We had a VERY successful event, thanks to many outstanding civic leaders from Laveen and the surrounding areas. It truly was a place for positive, common sense approaches to solving crime in Laveen.

With the Laveen Community Council, the Laveen/South Mountain Chamber of Commerce, the Laveen Lions Club, area churches, businesses, HOA's, elementary and high schools, and everyone in between, the Laveen Community continued to make a concerted effort to STAMP OUT crime.

Thank you to everyone who attended and remember that we can't fight crime one at a time - we fight crime together!

Well, what would Spring be without an egg hunt?

Once again, the Laveen Community Council and Crosswalk Church teamed up to give children the best darn egg hunt in town!

The egg hunt was for children 3rd grade and younger. And this year, they enjoyed rides, face painting, balloons, photo spots, music, arts, crafts, vendor booths and much more for all ages.

Another Successful Laveen Pit BBQ - 58 Years Strong!

Sunday, February 21st at Laveen Elementary School

The 58th Annual Laveen Pit BBQ has come and gone and I think it is safe to say that we all had a LOT of fun! We sang the "Rain, Rain, Go Away" song and Mother Nature cooperated to give us what turned out to be a beautiful day for a barbecue.

We can't stress enough how amazing it is when an ENTIRE community comes together to put on an event such as this. It takes hundreds of volunteers and hundreds more volunteer hours to make the magic happen, so from the LCC to all you out there that pitched in even a moment...Thank you.

We will have some great info from the BBQ soon - Don't forget to check back!

10th Annual Laveen Community Parade - FLYER

Saturday, February 6th, 11:00AM from 43rd Ave. to 51st Ave. on Dobbins

Sponsored by the Laveen Lions and supported by the Laveen Community Council and Laveen Citizens for Responsible Development, the 10th Annual Laveen Community Parade was held on Saturday, February 6th at 11:00AM. There were close to 100 entries and fun was had by all!

The parade route started at 43rd Ave. and Dobbins and ended at 51st Ave. The theme this year was "Stars and Stripes Forever."

Hopefully, we will have pictures soon, so stay tuned!
